BC Cancer is seeking a Department Head for our Medical Oncology team in Victoria. This role provides leadership, strategic planning, and oversight for the department's clinical care, professional practice, and conduct, in partnership with operational leaders and aligned with the PHSA mission, vision, and values. The Department Head will collaborate with the leadership team to implement programs and processes that meet the needs of cancer patients on Vancouver Island. Responsibilities include leading the Medical Oncology Department at BC Cancer – Victoria (in consultation with department members and the Executive Medical Director, and in accordance with relevant PHSA/BC Cancer policies, rules, and bylaws) and monitoring the quality of patient care through processes defined in the Medical Staff Rules (e.g., regular performance reviews).
